New Build Eco Home

Cretingham, Suffolk

A striking, large-scale eco home set within the Suffolk landscape, designed to combine architectural drama with long-term environmental performance.

At its heart is a spectacular triple-height atrium that draws natural light deep into the plan and creates a powerful sense of space and connection between levels. The external envelope is defined by carefully detailed Corten rainscreen cladding and precision-installed zinc, selected not only for their durability but for the way they weather gracefully over time, embedding the house into its rural setting.

Performance was as important as form. A ground-source heat pump, whole-house heat-recovery system, and extensive solar array work in harmony to deliver exceptional efficiency without compromising comfort.

Internally, the finish reflects a meticulous approach to craftsmanship. Junctions are clean, materials are honest, and every surface has been considered. From bespoke joinery to the integration of modern services, the project demonstrates Avoncrown’s ability to deliver technically demanding builds with refinement and control.
